Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line an 8x4 loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mash the bananas with a fork and set aside. Brown the butter over low heat and set aside to cool down.
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, and set aside.
In a separate bowl, use a handheld electric mixer to whisk the white sugar, egg, and 1 tsp vanilla bean paste until it turns fluffy and pale yellow.
Alternate adding the flour mixture into the wet mixture, then add half of the mashed bananas until everything has been added— fold everything until just combined, making sure not to overmix. Stream in the browned butter and mix.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan and top with silvered almonds or your topping of choice. Bake for 50-60 minutes until an inserted toothpick comes out clean/with a few crumbs.
