Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte

This Starbucks fall-favorite features a classic pumpkin chai topped with a generous dollop of pumpkin cream

  • 1 cup milk

Chai Concentrate

  • 6 cardamom pods
  • 3 cloves
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/8 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp black tea

Pumpkin Cream

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin purée
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Make Chai Concentrate

  • Using a mortar and pestle, ground the cardamom pods, cloves, and cinnamon stick.
  • Bring 1 1/4 cups water to a boil, then add the ground spices, pumpkin pie spice, brown sugar, and black tea.
  • Simmer for ~8 minutes, then strain.

Make Pumpkin Cream

  • Using a handheld frother or mixer, whip the heavy cream, milk, pumpkin pie spice, brown sugar, pumpkin purée, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Assemble the Drink

  • Pour your desired amount of chai concentrate into a glass filled with ice, and add the milk on top.
  • Top with the pumpkin cream and dust with more pumpkin pie spice.
