Iced Hot Chocolate
A classic creamy hot chocolate served with fresh whipped cream, but made iced!

Ingredients
Chocolate Syrup
- 35 g milk chocolate
- 15 g dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp dark cocoa powder, or regular cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste, or vanilla extract
Iced Hot Chocolate
- 1 cup milk of choice
- Whipped cream
Instructions
Make the chocolate syrup (Makes 4+ servings)
- Roughly chop the milk chocolate and dark chocolate, then set aside.
- In a pot, combine the dark cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.
- Add in the chopped chocolate and whisk until dissolved. Continue simmering for 10 minutes or until the consistency thickens slightly.
- Turn off the heat and mix in vanilla bean paste. Set aside and let it cool.
Assemble the Drink
- Add ice to a glass and fill the cup 1/3 of the way full with chocolate syrup. Adjust to your preference.
- Pour in your milk of choice.
- Top with fresh whipped cream and dust with more cocoa powder.
